BVA Hydraulics HD10013 cylinder and BVA PEW1002T 10,000psi pump. My ram speed is pretty slow so I'd consider a larger pump if I didn't have to broach small keys, etc. I'd also replace the four 2" pins with two larger pins just to make switching faster.
I'd incorporate a table lift of some type if you'd be changing the height often. In case you aren't familiar with a Wilson there is one a little over half way down in this post. If I can't get the capacity I want with channel iron and square tubing, what size and grade of flat bar should I be looking for to make a frame similar to a K. Is there a good square tubing substitute for the sides?ģ. What size of channel iron would this require? flange width? thickness?Ģ. I can't even find one to measure up and copy!ġ. I have been looking for a good press around here for some time now and can't find anything but the bottle jack imports. wide and all bolted construction (I don't trust my life to my welding). I know that channel iron becomes less and less desirable as the tonnage goes up, but that is what I'm most likely to find. from the junk yard, so probably channel iron construction if I can find something heavy enough. I want to build the frame with the same structural materials for the sides, bed, etc. I would like to build a 90-100 ton capacity hydraulic press and I need help with the frame. I know I know another press question, but I didn't find the information I wanted with a search.
